POWERPORT!

Here is my mom's "super power port" getup that we thought up while we were waiting for her hydration process to be over. My mom joked to the nurse that that next time she strolls in the Hubert Humphrey Cancer center for her treatments she will be dressed in her power port suit. My mom had a power port inserted in her chest so that it would be easier for clinicians to easily deliver medications or fluids or withdraw blood samples without having to use needles. (My mom thought that a removable velcro star would be most appropriate to cover her power port. It's cute and would give a dramatic affect when taking it off to expose the port.) OH!!! I can't forget. . . Notice the hot pink Crocs lined with fluffy white fur? These are my moms sassy shoes that she strolls around the metro erea in. SMOKIN!!!!
Here is a painting I did of my wonderful mother Renee Worum. She was Diagnosed with breast and lymph node cancer this past fall. She has been a huge inspiration to me. Her positive outlook on beating cancer, making it through the hellish treatments, and her ability to keep a smile on her face everyday has truly made me realize what a strong woman she is. I will be documenting and helping her through this journey and fight to be cancer free!
